A prose editor that knows your world

The editor is connected to the rest of the workspace — inline links to your world, writing assistance that can follow your style profile, version history, scene metadata, and AI tools that work from the manuscript you've already built instead of making you restate the context every time.
When you write a character's name, Wonderthrough knows who that person is.
When you ask the AI for help, it knows what book it's in.
Your manuscript stays yours
Desktop privacy options
On the desktop app, you can choose the privacy options that fit the project: standard cloud-connected AI, Private AI with your own provider keys, or Local-only with a local model. If you want content to stay off Wonderthrough's servers, the desktop app is the path that supports it.
BYO key
Use your own Anthropic or OpenAI key on paid plans. On the desktop app, Private AI sends those calls directly from your device to the provider. On the web app, calls still pass through Wonderthrough's servers before reaching the provider.
Local-only on desktop
Connect a local model in the desktop app and run AI tools on your own hardware. That's the most private setup Wonderthrough offers today. The web app is cloud-hosted by design.
